Committee for Geelong CEO appointed to Urban Renewal Authority Victoria board

The Committee for Geelong's CEO Rebecca Casson has been appointed as a director to the Urban Renewal Authority Victoria board in the lead-up to the establishment of Development Victoria.

Announced today by the Minister for Major Projects, Jacinta Allan, Development Victoria will be a new statutory authority that will bring together the property development, urban renewal and civic infrastructure activities of Places Victoria and Major Projects Victoria.

The board is to be chaired by Mr James MacKenzie, President of the Victorian Arts Centre Trust and Chairman of Victorian Funds Management Corporation.

Ms Casson is joined by Mr Justin Hanney as a new director, Mr Hanney is the Lead Deputy Secretary, Economic Development, Employment and Innovation in the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources.

Tony De Domenico, the previous Chairman of Places Victoria has been appointed Deputy Chair while Christine Wyatt, Tamara Brezzi and Graeme Parton will remain as directors. The interim CEO of Development Victoria is Gregory Anderson, the current CEO of Places Victoria.
