CfG to play major role in Kardinia Park Stadium Trust

The Committee for Geelong (CfG)'s CEO Rebecca Casson has been appointed as a Trustee to the Victorian State Government's new Kardinia Park Stadium Trust (Trust).

Announced today by the Minister for Tourism and Major Events, John Eren, the Trust will be responsible for oversight of the stadium and surrounding parklands, and charged with the task of attracting more world-class events to the city.

To be chaired by former Victorian Premier, Steve Bracks, the Trust will give the iconic Geelong venue a safe and exciting future.

With a wealth of international experience and three years as CfG CEO, Ms Casson understands strategic regional issues and has national and international networks that will be valuable in this role.

The other Trust members are Gillian Costa, Simon Guthrie, Prof. Jane den Hollander, Michael Malouf and Elizabeth Mears.
