Activate Program #2 - Week 3

Activate Participant:      Kirsten Smith (enjoys cooking, reading and cycling, supports GAWS)

Position:                           Operations Manager

Organisation:                  Kings Funerals

Session:                           Week 3

Everyone brought their positive energy to the third leadership session where we were challenged to consider how values were connected to leadership.

We were lucky to have the opportunity to have leaders, including Jill Smith of GPAC, Mike Howell of Geelong College and Moshtag Heydari, share their stories and how life experiences have shaped their values and hence actions.

The chance be able to spend time to consider our personal values and whether we are living these in our work and personal lives was a rare moment to take time out for self reflection, savoured by all.

All sessions have offered great learnings and allowed us to consider our role as leaders and the drivers of our behaviours.

I am looking forward to the next five weeks and continuing the journey of self discovery that allows for better leadership.
